Track Attorney Performance Metrics
The Attorney Performance Dashboard displays key metrics related to Attorney performance and hourly goals.
Attorney hours are displyed in a table view and graph view. When the graph view loads, Timekeeper hours are displyed by default. You can change the view to Created By hours, and your selection will be saved.

What does the Dashboard track?
Access The Attorney Performance Dashboard can in 2 ways
From the Header Bar
Click the "...hours billed this month link". This view will display only your performance metrics
From the Reports Menu
If you have access, click Reports > attorney performance. From here the view of the Attorney Performance Dashboard will vary depending on your role.
Dashboard Views
The Attorney Performance Dashboard has 2 views:
- Table view (default)
- Graph view
Table View (Default)
The defualt view for the Attorney Performance Dashboard is the Table View. From here you can track all attorney performance metrics.
One attorney is listed in this example. The number of attorneys you see here will be determined by your permissions.
Graph View
Click the 'Graph' link to access the graph view
The Graph view will display Timekeeper hours by default. Select the Created By radio button to see your Created by hours. This option is sticky.
When you view the graph you will see the following in a visual graph:
- Goal Hours: Blue bar
- Target Hours: Green hash
- Hours billed - White line
Attorney Performance Metrics
The following metrics are tracked on the Attorney Performance Page
Caseload - The number of currently open, or active, Cases where the attorney is listed as Primary or Secondary Attorney. Click the Attorney Name to see the Attorney Caseload.
⚠️Note: This number does not update when using the date filter.
New Cases - The number of Cases with an Open date between the first of the month and date selected.
Reopens - The number of Cases previously closed, but reopened between the first of the month and the date selected.
Closed - The number of cases closed between the first of the month and the date selected.
Lates - Red, Late Comm, Late Plan - Each will show the number of: Red Milestones, or Missed Client Communication or Late Plan of Action updates, respectively, between the first of the month and the date selected.
Goal hours - The attorney’s monthly hourly goal. this can be individually set per attorney from the Attorney Profile Editor.
Target hours - The amount of hours the attorney should have billed month-to-date.
Timekeeper hours - Hours billed as Timekeeper.
Created by hours - Hours related to Time Entries created by the attorney.
Attorney Performance Permissions
- Staff (non-attorney) - by default do not have access to the Attorney Performance Dashboard
- Staff with permission - Staff may be granted permission to view the Attorney Performance Dashboard, when granted they will see all Attorneys
- Attorneys - by default will only see their metrics
- Attorney Managers - will see their metrics + their direct reports metrics
- Attorneys with permission - Attorneys & Attorney Managers may be granted permission to view all Attorneys on the Attorney Performance Dashboard
