How to use Mail Intake

Scan incoming mail, deliveries, faxes, messages in a bottles to your desktop

Drag all documents to the Caseload

Select the Case and Event values

Click Upload
Drag documents from your desktop to the Caseload
That's it. Just drag and drop.
Select Document and Event values
Set all the document and Event values for each document & click Upload.
- Document Date - Set the date of the document
- Select a Case - Select a case to upload the document
- Event Type - Select the Event Type of the document
- Event Date - Select the Event date
- Attibutes - Select the attributes best for your firm, attorney and the document
Incoming Mail is slected by default
Important - the Event will be marked as Importnat on the Case Timeline
Alert - Set an alert notifying the attorney that a new document has been added via Incoming Mail
- Designation - Select an appropriate Designation
✅click the Document name in the blue text to open a preview of the docuement in a separate window .
Medicals, Depos, Hearings
When you upload a Medical, Depo or Hearing document, you will be prompted to add the additional information for the selected Event. If the Event occurs in the future, the Event will automatically appear on the Firm and Attorney Calendar.
⚠️Confirmation & Billing⚠️
After you upload a document you will be prompted to confirm the Event you just created.
Clicking the green [ Yes ] button will open the event in a new tab so you can verify the Event, make any additions to the Event including suggested billing.
Repeat for each docuement
After confirming your upload, return to the Mail Intake tool and upload the next docuement.
What does the Attorney see?
Event - The Event will appear on the Case Timeline
Toast Notification - If Alert is selected, the Attorney will receive a toast notification
My New Documents - The document appers in My New Documents under Incoming Mail
⚠️Firm admin can set Incoming Mail as the default view for My New Documents
Widgets - Like all Documents and Events created for the attorney, Incoming Mail and Medicals, Depos, Hearings and Events will appear in the Upcoming Events and My New Documents Widget
