Simple Invoice Management Experience
Casefriend priovides your law firm with a powerful invoice experience, from time entry to collections. Use the Invoice Manager to boost your recovery results!
The Invoice Manager
The Invoice Manager is available in the Billing Menu.
By default the Invoice Manager will display all unpaid invoices by Case. You can switch to the Client VIew to review all invoices but grouped by Client.

Using the Invoice Manager
From the Invoice Manager you can
- Enter Payments
- Enter Adjustments
- Download Invoices
- Run Collections & performance reports
- Track firm revenue
Enter Payments
When you receive a payment on an Invoice you can easily add the Payment in Invoice Manager.
From the Invoice or Client view enter the invoice you want to apply the payment to in the Invoice Number filter and select the matching Invoice Number
From the Payments form, enter the Check #, Check Date, Amount and Payment Date. then click the Accept button.
Overpayments:
If the Amount entered is greater then the amount due you will be prompted to maintain the negative amount due in Casefriend Invoice Manager and reprots, or show the amount due as $0.00.
Multiple payments:
You can enter up to tweny (20) payments on a single invoice by clicking the green plus button.
Enter an Adjustment
In some unfortunate instances a Client may negotiate to pay less than the invoiced amount. We call this an "Adjustment". You can enter an Adjustment from the Invoice Manager
From the Invoice or Client view right click the Invoice you would like to Adjust and select add an Adjustment or Write-off.
This will open Invoice Adjustments for the selected Invoice. Click here to learn more about Invoice Adjustments.
Download an Invoice
There may be instances where you need to re-download an Invoice.
Single Invoice
Click the Invoice Number for the Invoice you would like to download. The download will start.

Batched Invoices
When an Invoice is part of a Batch we will deliver to you all Invoices in the Batch

Collections and Performance Reports
Access key Collections and cash performance reports from the Invocie Manager. The Export menu from the Invoice or Client view provides two (2) options:
Full report
The Full Report will be an export of all data visible on screen.
Collection Report
will be an export of the pre-formatted Casefriend Collection report. The Collection report is desgned to provide you wil all informaiton needed to proactively seek collection of unpaid invoices.
By default the Collection Report will include all unpaid invoices. You can can apply any filter prior to running the report to produce a narrowly tailored report.
Track Firm Revenue
The Invoice Manager provides a variety of filters to allow you to track from revenue across any time period and from all invoices.
Unpaid Invoices
By default the Invoice Manager will display unpaid invoices and the cash flow summary will display the sum of unpiad invoice. The cash flow summary will update as you apply any of the filters.
⚠️Note: An Unpaid Invoice is an invoice where the Amount Due is greater than $0.00. An invoice with a partial payment is considered unpaid,
All Invoices
Select All Invoices to see the performance of all invoices.
Overpaid Invoices
Select Overpaid Invoices to see the performance of invoices which received an Overpayment.
The Cash Flow Bar will update based on your selected fitlers.
