Recording Your Time
Recording your time is easy with Casefriend.
In most time entry or time capture systems, your billable time exists on its own, independent from any work you actually did.
In Casefirend, however, Time Entries are added to Events. This helps your billing team justify and recover all your time by associatng your billable with your work and documents.
Create a new Time Entry or Expense
- Open an existing Event or create a new Event.
- Click the Time Entry Tab
- Click the New Time Entry button
- Select a Snippet and click Save
Billing Snippets are canned Time Entries based on client billing guielines and your firm's policies. Using Snippets means fewer redlines and more time recovered!
You can search for a snippet using key words, enter a Snippet ID set by your firm. Your firm administrator can provide you with a list of commonly used Snippet IDs for your firm.
Once saved your Time Entry will appear in the Time Entry tab and All Billing page and is ready to be invoiced!
Edit a Time Entry
You can edit and existing Time Entry by selecting the Time Entry or Expense. The Time & Expenses editor will open.
⚠️NOTE: When you reduce your Time you will need to select a reason for the cut. This will be recorded in a report for your firm administrators or billing department.
