Your Case Documents
Easily access & manage your Case documents from the Casefriend Doc Browser.
We at Casefriend are long time fans of Back to the Future and the visions of Doc Brown. You could say the Doc Browser is an homage to he who invented the flux capacitor.

Firm Documents
The Firm Doc Browser allows you to easily browse or search all documents in your firm, across all cases.
You can access your Firm's Documents from anywhere in Casefriend by clicking Cases and then firm documents.
You will then see all documents at your firm grouped by Cases. Click a Case name on the left to see the documents in that case.
Case Doc Browser
The Case Doc Browser allows you to easily browse or search all documents in a specific case.
From anywhere in a case click Documents or select Doc Browser from the Documents drop-down options.
You will then see the Case Doc Browser grouped by Categories.
Event Documents Tab
From an Event click the Documents tab to see all documents associated with an Event.
Doc Browser Features
You can see all documents, by category, but clicking a category in the left rail. By default the Casefriend Categories are displyed and cannot be hidden. You can add your firm's custom categories by clicking Add/Remove Categories. Click on Doc Browser to return to the default view.
Default Categories:
- General - All documents assigned to a category not on this list
- Correspondence - All documents assigned to a "Correspondence" Event
- Medical - All documents classified as Medical
- Hearing - All documents classified as hearing
- Deposition - All documents classified as Deposition
- Subpoenas - All documents classified as Subpoena
- Liens - All documents classified as Liens
New Documents
When a document is added to your case by someone else at your firm, the document will be grouped in the New Documents section. When a document is opened or edited it will no longer appear in the New Documents section of Doc Browser.
Note: Marking an Event as Read from My New Documents will also remove the document from the New Documents section.
All Documents
All documents are listed in the All Documents section. The most recently accessed are at the top of the list.
